ESPACE THORIGNY - LE MARAIS (map)

"Point Final" was originally going to be the name of this exhibition that I've been preparing for a year.

I can't say how many dots I've drawn, but I now understand why I drew them.

A break-up forced me to rediscover an energy deep inside me that I thought had disappeared.

Day after day, this painstaking, time-consuming work refocused me and got me moving again.

This series of paintings could be summed up as a passage from darkness to light, addressing themes such as time and space, emptiness and solitude, but also freedom, letting go, movement and life.

With this work I wanted to create a visual language that brings together the infinitely large and the infinitely small in a single gesture.

Music also played a very important role in the creative process. Each painting here is associated with a musical title that adds an extra dimension to the graphic effervescence.

The dark support I use, on which the dots give life to organic, cellular and cosmic abstract forms, is the black page of a new chapter, a new 'Point of Departure'.
